Shooting erotic entertainment is a wrongdoing – National Film Authority alerts movie producers

The National Film Authority (NFA) has cautioned movie producers against the shooting of obscene movies in the country.

As per the position, it is unlawful for makers and producers to "bait" individuals into the creation of obscene motion pictures.

"The creation and circulation of obscene movies conflict with Section 20 and 28 of the Development and Classification of Film Act 935; and Sections 280 and 281 of the Criminal Offenses Act 29," the NFA expressed in a delivery endorsed by the Executive Secretary, Ms Juliet Yaa Asantewaa.

This comes after the Authority's consideration was attracted to "a few people indicating themselves to be producers are occupied with the shooting of obscene".

As indicated by NFA, these producers promote via web-based media to "draw guiltless Ghanaians into this unlawful demonstration."

"Any people discovered to be taking part in such criminal demonstrations will be managed by the full power of the law," the assertion read.

The organization forewarned the overall population to report people occupied with such exercises to the police or any NFA office.
