21 injured in accident on Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway

On the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway near Anteadze, an accident at Gomoa Odumase resulted in the critical injuries of about 21 passengers.

The collision involved a VW Jetta GT 8661-09 and a Sprinter Benz van with the license plate GW 9678-12.

On the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway, 45 passengers have been hurt during the past 24 hours, including two fatalities.

The Apam District Fire Service Commander, ACFO Adolf Ankomah Nuamah, claimed in an interview with Adom News that the Volkswagen Jetta was also traveling from Accra to Cape Coast while the sprinter Benz bus was carrying a full load of passengers from Ajumako to Accra.

ACFO Nuamah said the driver of the VW Jetta’s car made a wrongful overtaking and lost control and crashed the sprinter Benz bus.

He said 11 males and 10 females were involved in the accident and all of them are receiving treatment at Apam St Luke’s Catholic Hospital.
