A unique mentorship and robotics workshop is being held by StanChart to commemorate International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

Selected girls from the Islamic Training Institute and Al Waleed Comprehensive Basic School, under the Islamic Education Unit, Accra, have participated in a mentoring and robotics session.

This initiative was held to mark International Day of Women and Girls in Science with staff from Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC volunteering to mentor the young girls during the session.

This forms part of efforts to empower young girls in line with the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) agenda.

The girls were taken through how robots are assembled and motioned. The second session was used to mentor the girls on how to achieve their goals.

Ayeley Commodore Mensah of the Right to Dream Academy took the girls through the robotics session and was assisted by Farouk Osman of the Islamic Education Unit.
