A conspicuous Ethiopian general is to stay in police confinement for an additional 10 days, his attorney has told the BBC.
Brigadier General Teferra Mamo showed up under the steady gaze of a court in the northern city of Bahir Dar on Friday - a few days after his better half announced him missing.
She in this way figured out he had been captured in the wake of leaving his home in the capital, Addis Ababa, and taken to Bahir Dar, the capital of the Amhara district.
His attorney, Shegaw Alebel, let the BBC know that police were exploring the general for attempting to "destroy established request" - and the court had allowed authorization for him to stay in guardianship while they did as such.
Gen Teferra was officer of the Amhara Special Forces, which are united to the government armed force in its battle against powers from the northern territory of Tigray, for quite a long time. He was terminated in February and has since been reproachful of the public authority.
