The 2-minute mental health workout to increase your productivity

Too much work and back to back meetings with no time to take breaks in between is a normal everyday scenario for busy professionals these days. The hectic schedule and multitasking can lead to stress and affect productivity too.
If you can relate to this, it's very important for you to take a break to re-focus and relax. To manage daily stress and increase your productivity, therapist and counsellor Sarla Totla took to social media to share a two-minute mental health workout that you can do anytime, anywhere. It's a simple breathing exercise that can be performed by anyone.

In her post, she said, “You go from meetings to meetings without any break that leaves you fatigued by the end of the day. Here is a two-minute simple breathing exercise that you can do in between your meetings. It will help you to reset and re-energize your mind.” She added, “You will be surprised at how this simple exercise can relieve your stress and improve your focus and performance. Include this today in your tight work schedule and see the results.”

How to perform the exercise?

Take a deep breath, hold your breath and exhale. Repeat this 10 times, which should not take more than 2 minutes.

More simple tips to increase productivity:

- Do not do multitasking

- Prepare a to-do list a night before or right in the morning

- Keep cutting down things from the to-do list as and when you complete them

- Eliminate distractions

- Be optimistic and get enough sleep
