Food for fertility - Must-have foods when trying to conceive

Salmon is a fertility all-star because it’s high in omega-3 fatty acids, which help balance your reproductive system and keep you as healthy as possible. It’s also high in protein and almost devoid of the harmful levels of mercury found in many other fishes.

When attempting to conceive, salmon is a fantastic alternative to red meat, as red meat is high in saturated fats and may limit your ability to conceive.

Most organ meats are good sources of numerous vitamins and minerals, including many of the B-Vitamins, iron, and zinc. Include some kind of organ meat in your regular diet, but make sure you practice portion control while having it.

Shellfish is normally safe to eat when trying to conceive, but make sure it’s thoroughly cooked to avoid food illness. Sushi that has been frozen and then defrosted properly, as well as fish that has been completely smoked, salted, or pickled, are generally safe to eat.
